But what actually is Geo-Targeting?!

In a nutshell…

Geo-Targeting is location-based marketing which can deliver different types of content to customers in specific locations via paid search platforms.

Simple right? So Geo-Targeting allows you to finetune your audience so you can target as little as one building up to a 100 mile radius! Not only can you target customers in specific locations but you can also determine what content is shown to them based on where they are. Exciting stuff!

Obviously the big social channels have recognised the importance of this technology in their own advertising platforms so have jumped on the hype, with Facebook, Insta, Twitter and Snapchat repeatedly upping their Geo-Targeting game.

To prove we practice what we preach below are some results:

● Eukanuba Crufts campaign saw a 20% uplift in competition entries based on targeted ads running up to 5 miles from participating stores.

● CCEP in-store promotional campaign in convenience stores saw a 5.6% sales uplift based on targeted ads up to 5 miles from participating stores Vs. those with no supporting activity.
